I’m taking part in The Great MND Relay in support of the 470 Victorians currently living with MND. All funds raised will ensure MND Victoria can continue providing vital care, support, education and equipment so no one has to face this devastating disease alone. Thank you for your support!
In August 2018 Tony was a fit healthy shearer suffering a bit from what he thought was old age. He was 66 years old. In November Tony was officially diagnosed with MND, he passed away on 3rd March 2019.
Known as 'Bushy' to family and friends, this kind, wise, rough and tumble, gentle man was so brave in such an unfamiliar body.
He was our Champion.
There have been so many champions in our MND journey.
The support we received from MND Victoria was incredible. From beds to wheelchairs, lifts and everything Tony needed, as well as books and information kits for our grandchildren to take to school so they could be supported too.
Erin our OT who became part of our lives and never ceased to come up with new things to help.
Our whole medical team and health professionals, Ballarat Hospice, Shannon's Bridge and our district nurses.
Our amazing community of Clunes and the many, many friends, family and special mates who have continued to support us everyday.
You are all our Champions.
