For the MND Relay this year I'm going to challenge myself to walk/run the full 42km (105 laps) in 8 hours.

I've been working with MND Victoria for 4 years now and throughout that time I've had the privilege of meeting the most inspiring and strong people who have this bitch of a disease.

MND is a terminal illness. There's no cure, no treatment and the average life expectancy after diagnosis is 2.5 years.

What a lot of people don't know is that because MND doesn't really have any treatment (like Chemotherapy for example), when you are diagnosed by your neurologist, that is normally it. They say good luck and send you on your way.

MND Victoria is the reason that all 470+ Victorian's living with MND today aren't left completely directionless and desperate after that day. They provide them with education, support, care and the extremely expensive equipment all at no cost to the family...ever.
And more often than not, MND Vic are the ones finding the newly diagnosed to offer their services. They're absolute legends.

If you can spare $5 or $10, please donate to my page to support MND Victoria. I am aiming to raise $420 ($10 for every km I plan to do).

Thank you for your support!
