To all my beautiful friends and family. This year our family is once again taking part in the 2-Hour Challenge for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) to help raise funds for MND Victoria.
Every day in Australia, two people are diagnosed with MND. Sadly, our family knows this all too well. Last year our Mum lost her fight against this terrible disease.
We’re doing the event one more time as a family to say thank you to the incredible team at MND Victoria for the care, support and kindness they showed Mum and our whole family during such a difficult time.
To help raise even more awareness and support, I’ll also be taking on another challenge before the walk. At the end of March I’ll be attempting to climb Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa, which stands 5,895 metres high. With a bit of luck, I’ll reach the summit on the anniversary of our Dad Peter having a beer at the top with Dad, Mum and Ben.
To make the climb count even more, I’m hoping to raise $1 for every metre climbed — $5,895 in total — for the amazing people at MND Victoria.
Every lap, every minute, and every dollar makes a difference.
If you can, please support this great cause by donating or by joining us on the day to walk or run as many laps as you can. Any support is truly appreciated.
Together we can help raise awareness and support for families affected by MND.
