Laps for Mum & Rohan 💙

Running for my Mum, who died from MND in November, and my former partner Rohan, who died in 2021.

I was a carer in both situations, so I’ve experienced firsthand how important the right support is. MND Victoria supported us through both journeys and I’m forever grateful for the role they play.

Their loan library provided essential equipment and assistive technologies when we needed them, and their MND Advisors helped us navigate the two worlds of the NDIS (Rohan) and My Aged Care (Mum).

The Carer Support Program has also been an incredible part of MND Victoria. Through the carer groups I’ve met generous and knowledgeable people in the MND community and made some beautiful friends.

This year I’ll be in the fast wave, running laps of the track for two hours straight. Let’s see how many laps I can clock up.

If you’d like to donate, I can guarantee this funding goes directly towards practical care and support for people living with MND. I’ve relied on it twice, so I know exactly where it goes.

My Updates

13 May 2026

This is my Mum, Fay.

She lived a peaceful life down in Ocean Grove, made friends effortlessly and loved coffee catch-ups, socialising and getting out and about.

In the end, MND affected her speech, ability to eat and ability to walk, which was especially hard for someone so social.

Mum died in November, just under two years after her diagnosis.

I’ll be running for Mum and Rohan this Saturday. 💙

This is Rohan. 💙
Born in 1972, died from MND in 2021 at just 49 years old.

He was a much loved sound engineer, mixer, masterer, legendary turd polisher and fixer of all things — from vintage synthesizers to the MPC3000. If something sounded terrible, broken or beyond saving, Rohan probably knew how to bring it back to life.
