Anne was diagnosed with MND in July 2021. Her initial symptoms were loss of strength in her right hand, her speech became slurred and her left foot was sometimes numb and she started to fall over. After a huge number of tests she was finally diagnosed with MND by her neurologist. The disease has progressed very rapidly and she is unable to speak and has very limited movement. A message from Anne: I have had so much support from MND Victoria who are fabulous. I have a dedicated nurse and support specialist in Fran who has been with me every step of the journey and always treated me with care and respect. MND Victoria has provided me with the equipment I require like ramps, walkers, wheelchairs and an adjustable hospital bed. MND Victoria have acknowledged my wishes to stay in my own home and they have done everything possible to ensure this happens.
